carry a poem - national library of scotland 01 by byronv2
The Edinburgh City of Literature has run several campaigns including the graphic novel adaptations of Robert Louis Stevenson works. This February they have teamed up with the Scottish Poetry Library for the Carry a Poem campaign, which includes projecting verse onto buildings, including this one by my clansman Byron on the National Library of Scotland. Sorry its not better framed, was taken on the way home from work so no tripod, had to make do with bracing camera against a railing which limits angles
"So, we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.
For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.
Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a roving
By the light of the moon. "
George Gordon, Lord Byron
