In the Navy by Bosc d'Anjou

"Lining up on deck" by Danish artist Christian Mølsted (1862-1930) was a coronation gift from the Danish Association of Naval Officers to King Håkon VII. It usually hangs in the King's office at the Royal Palace in Oslo, but was given a rare public showing as part of the exhibition "Gavebordet" ("Table of Gifts") at the West Norway Museum of Decorative Art (24 May to 2 September 2012), which displayed the gifts received by Kong Håkon (former prince Carl of Denmark) and Queen Maud when they ascended to the Norwegian throne in 1905. Prince Carl was a naval officer educated at the Danish Naval Academy, so the picture showed a scene that was certainly very familiar to him.
